The Hard-Drive Spy Tool

(for Windows only)
Sometimes, your hard-drive has some secrets hidden inside which slow down your computer to a standstill. As I myself have been experiencing these problems recently, I came across a program which allows you to view the space hoggers lurking in the depths of your HDD.

The program in question is WizTree. The program will scan a hard-drive you select and it will show you what and where large files are stored; even giving you percentages to how much of its parent it uses. For example: say my hard-drive had a capacity 100GB. A folder on it could be 50GB- therefore showing that this folder uses 50% of its parent, the hard-drive. But, for the individual files inside the folder, the parent for them would be the folder that contained them.

The program does this seamlessly and extremely quickly; no matter the processor speed or the amount of data stored on your hard-drive. Give it a few seconds and the program is done. From there it inherits standard Windows Explorer features, allowing you to modify, delete and move these files.

I highly recommend this software if you are going through problems with computer speed and are not sure with what the cause is; or if you just want to see what is piling up.

500GB PlayStation 3 Is Coming!

Phew! Thank you Sony! I have been waiting for something like this for ages… I’m sure that many PS3 users have faced the annoying task of deleting things off their HDDs because they have run out of room for installing new games they want, whether that be on a disc or downloaded from the PlayStation Store. This is a great step from Sony, as now people can actually have more than about 20 games installed. Heh heh.

France Time (almost)

This week we’re going to France. I’m super excited, as we are staying in a luxury location and we have awesome things to do there, and also, hopefully, the weather will be a lot better there than it is here in England… But the thing I’m not looking forward to is the HELL DRIVE OF SUPREME DOOM. (which is around 400 miles.) Yup. You heard me. Well, read me. Instead of getting a plane, were gonna drive there. -_- Greaaat.

D.O.T: 15/04/11: Trip To The Seaside

Hi everyone! The other day me and my friend Carman4353 (Dan) went on a trip to two places. First of all, we went to Bognor Regis which is in West Sussex. We went to pick up Dan and then we went to pick up my parents friend, Steve. Then we set off on the super long drive down. We bought a pack of Rowntrees Pick ‘N’ Mix along with us. Yeah, lets just say I had a  few of those… Anyway, we got there and then we started playing with the rocks, by making a weird ‘mini Stonehenge’ and writing ‘hi’ with them. There was also this weird boy here who kept taking to us… kinda awkward… We played a game of Frisbee and he said ‘You do you know are playing Frizbee?’ There was a long awkward silence, and then I just said ‘Yeah…’ and carried on with the game. Afterwards we went to a local restaurant, simply named ‘Beach Restaurant’ and I had some fish, chips and a Sprite. Dan had a battered sausage and I don’t know what the others had, I didn’t really pay attention. Then we left for Brighton as there wasn’t that much in Bognor. So after another long drive, we got there and immediately me and Dan went to the arcades, and played loads of games, and I spent my last 70p on a Yorkie bar for the vending machine they had there. We also went on a Crazy Mouse rollercoaster. Wow, it was fast and it felt like you were going to fly off the edge of the track! There was also bumper cars and a really scary Haunted House (yeah, REALLY scary…) We went to a pub and we stayed on the beach for a while and then we went home. It was a great day!
